I need to let everyone know about one of our outstanding FABO members, but first a little background...
Some of you know that I do both the NASCAR and NHRA "Pick 'Em" games here on FABO (we also have a few players in both games from FBBO). I do both of these games because I'm a big NASCAR fan and a huge NHRA fan.
The NASCAR game was originally started by 'memikejr' a few years ago and he turned it over to me when he got too busy with an overwhelming schedule that included work, school and family all at one time. I enjoyed playing the NASCAR game and found that it really added to the enjoyment of watching the races on television. Comments posted by other players verified they felt the same as I did.
My major motorsports love has always been drag racing so, after a little thinking, I started up the same sort of game for NHRA fans. Every year players post comments about how much more fun it is to watch the TV coverage knowing that how their chosen drivers do is going to impact their standings in the FABO game. The player count has grown every year and we started the 2015 season with 27 players. We gained a couple more players shortly after the start of the season and we lost a couple along the way, but we still have 27 players going into the NHRA U.S. Nationals next weekend.
I enjoy doing both games and I'm just happy to be able to bring some enjoyment to all the players in both games.
Late last week I received a PM from Duster79 asking for my mailing address - he said he had a little something to send to me. I answered back and sent him my address but also said sending something was certainly not necessary.
His package arrived today.
Take a look at what his definition of a "little something" is!

I want to know how he knew that I had a small collection of "The Fuelers" diecast dragsters that I'd started a few years ago when they first came out? The "Cow Palace Shell" dragster filled an open spot in my collection perfectly since I didn't have this car. The Mopar Collectors Guide and Mopar Muscle magazines are also very much apprectiated and will provide lots of good reading.
Mike, you definitely went way "above and beyond" with your overwhelming generosity. Thank you so much!
There have been other threads about how wonderful all the members of the FABO family are - and every one of those threads are 100% correct!
Y'all are the best!
And Mike, you're right up there at the top of the list!!! Thanks again!
