The pivots rotate only 180°. Pressure from wiper, etc.., cause directional wear. There's only 2 shirt bronze bushing in a cast housing about 3" long. Mark the bottom of the potmetal housings with a sharpie b4 removing. Apply seal kits with zerks. Add grease and reinstall rotated to your marks on to. Forces are now against a less worn bushing wall. Instrument panel R&R procedure is in a factory service manual. Issues owners encounter include breaking pins off printed circuit boards, loss of neutral safety adjustment after column was lowered. Improper routing / difficult reconnect of speedometer cable, etc... Let's go ahead and grease the speedo cable, replace light bulbs, everything we can to prevent a return trip while we're in there. Clean whatever crud from the square drove Port on back of speedometer. Procedure in the manual likely states disconnect speedometer cable early on. I don't I put a short stand under the right front. Reach under and release the speedometer cable from a sheet metal tang under the drivers seat. Once all the screws are removed from the inst panel pulling a bit of speedo cable through the firewall grommet into the cab practically pushes the inst panel out.l of the dash. It serves as a helping hand while I carefully defeat that round harness connector that often breaks contact pins off circuit boards. If those wires are combed out straight enough, the black plastic will come away from the board leaving some or all of the female terminals. Those can be removed individually. Don't allow the wires to exit the slots in side of connector. Keep them in proper positions. I wrap white tape around the thing, no worries. In the end, speedo cable should route right back the way it was. If you do need to get a arm/hand behind left side of inst' panel,, one screw out of the fusebox, drop the headlight switch.place something to sit on in the doorway. Right pivot is behind the radio. Shouldn't be a problem there. Happy moparing.

Here's a few poorly taken interior pictures, and a VERY cool original dash plaque. It has some type of "GM" seats in the front, which are power, and they work! And man are they plush!

I know what I'd HAVE to do with it: Make it into an RV, cuz my wife would have me living in it!

Nice truck!

How did it survive without being destroyed or picked apart?

I believe there's one on ebay right now.
Listed last week.
Single cab, though.

Those seats are plush! Look like caddy or Olds or Buick seats.

As cool as this thing is, I dont think it's in my long term plans to keep it. Any suggestions on the best venue to sell it?

Fall Mopars at The Rock is coming up in November. No further away than you are....it would only cost you probably $300 in gas to get there and back. Just kidding, but have you thought about calling Herb to see if they would have an interest in something like that?

I haven't put a ton of thought in it, but I would like for someone to end up with it that would put it back into service

Well, have a opportunity to buy a dyno for the shop, so unfortunately this thing is for sale. Listed it here first, if no one here is interested, I'll likely list locally or maybe cosign with a dealer.
