Let me first say I DO NOT HAVE any tailpipes....
,Ok now I have dual pipes on my 273 with 14" Dynomax super turbos 2.5 in/2.5 out. At idle sounds good, at cruising speed sounds good...But driving through the neighborhood 1000 rpm- 1600 rpm It is dump truck/Harley DRONE LOUD. And I do not like that.
So should I put on tailpipes first (isn't that just going to push the loud farther back, and still be as loud at the rear)).
Or get some walker Quietflow SS mufflers ?

Tail pipes should help quite a bit.

does it have manifolds or headers? it seems cars with manifolds seems to have a lot more drone then cars with headers when running those mufflers.

Tailpipes. Shorter muffler cases tend to drone more. Also consider stepping down to 2 1/4" mufflers and tailpipes. Plenty adequate for a 273.
