E body shifter in A body console ??? Possible???

Has anyone here put an E body slap stick shifter in an A body console?

Seems like a saw another post where you can convert an a-body shifter to a slap stick, I could be wrong.

I started a thread about thaty awhile back. Everyone that posted on it said the plate that had to be installed was junk.

I think the mechanics of it would be possible. Except the shifter is farther aft in an ebody console beside your thigh in easy arms reach compared to an abody where the shifter is near the knee with a curved back handle. If you are going to build a new custom console, Get an ebody shifter and floor bracket and rod and build console around it. If you want to retain the original console I know nothing about the above mention adapter plate. Sorry
