Early A Tie Rod and Sleeve Swap?

I've read that the newer a-bodies can swap in 11/16 tie rods and sleeves from a C-body with no other modifications. Is this the case for early A bodies?

It appears to be. I just rebuilt my whole front end on my '65 Barracuda & used the 11/16" tie rod setup. I used them, plenty of adjustment and works fine.
