My Dart is currently apart so I can't get it to the scales. Does anybody have an idea of the weight of a 1965 Dart 2dr sedan, 273, 904 trans, 8 3/4 replacing the 7.25, fuel cell replacing the gas tank, no heater or back seat, eight point bar, all undercoating removed, all steel car with stock glass. Thanks guys!

I'll take a guess....the base weight I read somewhere on a 6cyl was 2800lbs.
So if we add 150 for the 273 we got 2950. Take out the seat, tank, heater, lets say -100, 2850. Add for the steel probably, 150lbs., figuring 1 1/2" by 095Fuel cell is a trade off for the tank, so I'd guess right at 3000lbs.

Just a guess...Dave

Mine weighs in @ 3150 and the only difference than yours is I have a 12 point cage and a 727 so yours will be about 100lbs lighter with the 8 point and the 904.

mine was 2800 with the /6. Now with the 360, 904, 8-3/4 and no interior it's 3000#. I don't know what the heater box weighs but I think it's going next.

I scaled my 66 Dart, 225/904 at the track last week...3000lbs with 3/4 tank of fuel

Wow, I bet I'm 3200#'s then. I am running a glass hood though, but still.......

My 66 Cuda full street car, with nothing removed, slant, 904, 8 3/4, is 3080 lbs.
66 Valiant, drag car, no grill, no front bumber, glass hood, no interior, one racing seat, slant, 904, 7 1/4. is 2500 lbs.

Current new Mopar magazine list all the base weights in a chart. But all the 63-64 cars are about 100-150 lbs less than 65 and 66, then in 67 they started geting heaview untill 70 by a few lbs. Then in 71-73 they gainned a few more, lastly the 73-76 wore the largest.

The early 63-64 Base listed as 2850
add about 100-150 for a 65, Darts have a longer wheel base and com in a little more than a cuda, or valiant.

My 64 with a 273, 8 3/4 rear and a 727 trans weighed 2960 with the spare tire and all seats in it.

Have have gone tti headers probably a wash with the iron exh.
Added sway bars larger suspension added about 65 lbs
Aluminum water pump, and small starter save maybe 8-10lbs

Anyway that should ball park it for you. A typical 70 Dart weighs about 3250 base with a small block and a 904 and small rear end.

'62 Valiant V-200 4-door, 360 V8 with iron heads, old cast iron 727, Dana Power-Lock posi, Kelsey-Hayes disc/drums, 15 X 8" steel wheels, large front and rear sway bars, 1/4 tank of gas and driver: 3,180 lbs.
