yep, felt it too. the news says 5.6. it was located about 7 miles from san jose. who else felt that???? gtx, dusterboy, thrashard, strokermike............

How did anyone in the Bay Area NOT feel that earthquake? I was chatting to forum member RPM one night when a 4 magnitude hit.

I was in my CNC machine class when it hit.. it hit hard but only seemed to last for 4-5 seconds or so.

Ive heard that it has been guessed that there is to be a big earthquake here in California just like the one long ago...that it has been taking longer to happen than expeced...as much as I want that not to happen...earth is earth lets all just grap on to our mopars lol

I must be immune. Things start shaking around here and I keep typing. Of course, I can hear my neighbors congregating out front and making a big deal over it. The '89 Loma Prieta quake was the last one to get my attention. I hink it was either 6.8 or 7.2.

I didn't feel it . Course I was playing drums at the time .
A friend commented "that's odd the lights are swinging back and forth"
Just thought it was Me!

The official duration was 30 seconds but probably only 5 sec worth of noticeable tremors where you were at. I was in UC at the time and felt about 10 seconds of it. I heard some people in Milpitas felt it for much longer.

I grew up in Whittier, CA as in 1987 Whittier quake. It's an LA suburb and I now live in Central Oregon. I sure don't miss those earthquakes, the only thing we have to worry about up here are volcanoes, easy money LOL!
