edelbrock carb to edelbrock intake

my edelbrock carb series 1411(750) had an adapter to the factory intake. I put on an edelbrock performer 440 intake do I still need an adapter or can I put the carb right on the intake.

I'd think it should bolt directly on.

if the manifold is a squarebore manifold and not a spreadbore, it should fit and seal up fine.
