I have an Edelbrock performer series carb. If anyone is running this type of carb, what did you use to mount the throttle cable to the carb correctly. What I have at my disposal is: the carb cable stud from a Thermoquad (this doesn't fit the bracket on the carb, I would have to drill the carb bracket out). Or, a carb throttle cable stud from a carter 2 bbl . I think it may be a similar size stud, it sure looks the same, I haven't tried it yet. Does Edelbrock make a throttle cable stud and bracket kit for Small Block Mopar? if so what is the kit part number?

it's a bolt on adapter bracket

Careful, prices vary from $10 to $30.

Man, I don't know if I can swing it...;) I may have to tie my sneaker laces to the carb throttle, and tie them off at the turn signal lever, then pull them when I want the car to move :)

This thread uses a Holley as an example, but setting up a Carter is the same...

How to set up a Holley 4 bbl for a Mopar

Thanks to all who replied, I did manage to get the correct bracket and set up my throttle. Luckily I have 4 speed so no kickdown linkage. My setup ended up being lie the pics posted. Those pics are great by the way, just what I was looking for. Thanks again.

This aught to throw a WTF? in your day.:D
It is sprung from the top forward and from the bottom to the back so as to help equalize the spring tension on the throttle shaft.
It is also slotted for my throttle pressure cable so I can change the geometry of that.

The spring positions were changed since this picture, and after the motor went in so they are more top and bottom than shown here.
