HI LOOKING TO MAKE A NEW 408 MOPAR BUT I LIKE TO NOW HOW FAR
CAN YOU MACHINE THE EDELBROCK HEADS TOO.
I HAVE A 1978 360 BORE IS .30 MOPAR FORGED 4.00 CRANK KB .30 FORGED FLAT TOPS
408 PISTONS COMP .630 ROLLER MILODON GEAR DRIVE TIMING SET
COMP ROLLER LIFTERS.
DO NOT HAVE HEADS YET BUT LOOKING INFO IN THIS WILL BE HELP FULL

think some other guys will say about the same, i would go for a bigger head than the performer rpm head, something like the mopar performance largeport comando heads would have much more potential for making more power, but they require W2/W5 rockers but they still fit with standard intake manifolds and headers.
sorry cant give you any info about the edelbrock heads :(
 
Edelbrock heads will hold you back. Look into the following heads from MoPar;
W-2, Large port comandos or the new W-9 for standard blocks.
Aftermarket wise, theres Indy whose heads are very promising for big power.
