electronic ignition 68 valiant

so i installed a mopar performance electronic distributor (i think thats what it is anyways) and while i was hooking up the wiring the instructions said to splice one of the wires into the positive side of the resistor.
anyone know which wire thats supposed to be?

Pull them off and check with a test light.
Which ever pair comes on with the ignition switch are the 12V in.
I think to 2 blues but I've been wrong before .

thats what the instructions said, but i cant test them yet as the wiring isnt completely put together

Don't know if this will help.

blue and blue side:
solid blue: come from the regulator
blue with white tracer: comes from bulkhead connector

brown and blue side:
brown: comes from the bulkhead connector
blue: comes from positive side of the coil

Your best bet is to wait and check it like was said.
