Step-brat brought one of her high school friends home and introduced me to Summer (Sommer?). I was really struck by her pretty blue eyes. A few months went by, and the kid brought home another girl. They both walked right past me, so I stopped them and asked the kid who her new friend was. The answer was "Summer", you know her. Well, this time she was wearing glasses and that threw me off completely.
I was working as a United States Border Patrol Agent for a few years. One day, a girl wearing a dress, make-up, and some jewelry was in the office as I was reporting for work. She began speaking to me as if she knew me, but I did not recognize her at all. Come to find out, she was a girl that attended the same Border Patrol Academy Course (50 total cadets) as me and from time to time we worked together in a patrol car on the same shift. Seeing her with cosmetics on her face (and a dress in place of a green uniform) threw me for a loop.
I lived in Juneau, Alaska from 1990 to 1993. In 2001, I was renting an apartment in Tijuana, Mexico, while I was studying Spanish/Political Science at San Diego State University. Therefore, I was crossing the International Border at San Ysidro on a daily basis. One day, walking into the U.S. Customs/Immigration building I saw a guy riding around on a machine that was cleaning/polishing the tile floors of the area we all walked through to enter the United States. He waved me over to say hello, come to find out he recognized me from Juneau, I guess we attended the same small church there on Sundays back in the '90s.
