Engine bay inner fenders

I replaced inner fenders on my 69 dart, should i seam seal the overlap joint by the firewall? I am just not sure what the correct way is, they were pretty cut up before so i have nothing to go off from.

No one owns a Dart or has any idea what is the correct way to do this?

I don't think the factory put seal sealer there. It is a tightly closed overlap with a heck of a lot of spot welds. Sealant normally goes where a leak isn't wanted. A small leak through that overlap wouldn't matter.

I just looked in the service manual. I do not see any sealer used until you get to the firewall/ cowl area itself.

If you don't own it you should download the service manual for you car. The information you seek starts in chap 23 page 90.
