Engine misfire or loading up when opening the 4 barrel.

Yours might be fine need to measure the pressure. Have a Vacuum gauge? Alot of them have low fuel pressure also built in.
 
How would you check the fuel pump? It came from O’Reilly. I did change the dual line feed to one of the ones that has like a JIC type fitting that comes out of the carburetor to a braided line with jic fittings as well. It has a gauge in line but it doesn’t read. I figured there’s just not enough pressure to show I mean, they only usually push about 7 pounds
Ok, I thought you had the vehicle on a test run.

If the inline gauge is reading zero, that's a red flag for sure.

An in line test gauge is very inexpensive and should be in your tool box anyway.


Get one and establish that you have at least 4-5 PSI at the minimum.

Those little fuel pressure gauges that mount directly into the dual feed lines are know to fail frequently due to the heat from the engine. I've had a couple of them fail already on my setup. I plan to switch to adding a fuel pressure gauge inside of the car and also using a fuel pressure isolator in the engine bay. The isolator uses fuel pressure on the engine side and antifreeze or other non-flammable liquid to send the pressure reading into the interior so you don't have any fuel going into the cabin which would created a bad fire hazard where you don't want it.
A cheaper solution may be to run a 3 or 4ft braided line from where your gauge mounts now to relocate your gauge onto one of the fender wells, away from direct heat.
In the end, I'd rather have my pressure gauge inside the car where I can see it at all times.
