Hi, I installed a new distribator (mallary unilite and coil) and now I have engine noise in the radio,is there something I can install to get rid of noise?
Thanks
Mike

No ,just the distribator and coil and it didn't do this before that.

Did your stock coil have a noise suppressor attached? It looks like a condensor-type device with a metallic tab that is grounded between the coil bracket and intake manifold and a wire that goes to the positive side of the coil.

You need to have that capacitor on the coil, but you can also add a noise suppression kit to the positive lead going into the radio. You can get one at Radio Shack (I RARELY recommend RS, but this part is fine there).

capacitor on the coil will fix it
a capacitor is just an accumulator for electrisity, allows a constant flow of electrons to eliminate the pulse in the flow which is heard in the radio

Thanks everyone,I ordered a capacitor at the parts store and will install it tomorrow.
