I was wondering what all has to be bolted onto my motor before i spray it orange. I want this to be how the factory did it. Pictures of bare painted engine would be great. The car is a 1970 Dodge dart swinger 340 4 speed THanks
 
Basically everything except, carb, distributor, starter, motor mounts, alternator and pulleys. The intake, including choke thermostat and bypass hose was painted. The exhaust manifolds were typically installed and would have a little overspray around the ports. Most of this will burn off pretty quick.
 
Pretty much everything was bolted up.

intake bolted on with thermostat housing in place
By pass house from the intake to water pump with 2 corbin style clamps
valve covers with grommets, oil cap, PCV valve, and spark plug wire clips
Oil dip stick tube
Exhaust manifolds
fuel pump ? not 100% sure
distributor hole was plugged with a card board plug
neg batter cable

Bell housing on manual trans cars.
 
The only thing I haven't done yet with my motor is put the by-pass hose and thermostat housingon,but they will be orange.The thing I am not going to do is paint the motor with the exhaust manifolds on.

Notice the bolts that are painted orange and the ones that stay black on the front of the motor.

This motor is going into a 70 Dart as well.

Nice job you did on the engine. Looks like a factory picture. Keep up the good work. What about the 65 Dart in the background?
