So I am finally putting the 360 back together and have a quick question.
Every engine that I have ever assembled had an oil deflector between the timing gear and harmonic balancer.
I can't find one in my parts. Do the 360s not have one? I may have lost it but nothing has been moved.
Any help would be great.
Thanks

I did not have one on my 360 when I pulled it down. When I rebuilt it I added one, it is called an oil slinger.

You will probably get mixed opinions on how critical they are, but I personally prefer they are there.

p5249636 OIL SLINGER Protects front seal from excessive oil contact. feads lubricant into chain. can help. not a necessity. can sometimes hurt with some aftermarket timing sets

Thanks. A buddy has one for me. I would rather have it than not

Have seen factory motors with and without them. I'd run one if I had it
