I've got a 360 with a real bad noise in the motor was fine when car was put in storage, but when we started this spring man what a sound,thought it was the flex plate it's not . now for my question I have a good 340 motor complete, will the heads and intake off the 360 go on the 340 motor,in case the 360 is hurt??? thanks for the advice you guys are great thanks Doug....

Yes, the 340 heads and intake will bolt onto the 360.
Why don't you check for a collapsed lifter. Take off the valve covers and see if you can push down on any of the pushrods and look for "soft" lifters.

If the oil pressure looks good, then it's probably just a stuck lifter like Kuda said.
