I know this is BB but profiles were the same for LA small blocks. This is what Engle used to grind for Dave. Engle 904 profiles repackaged as Dave's. (NOTE crime against humanity to private label, or a Dig at Dave) he Was a smart cookie doing so these were great hydraulic flat tappet cams Engle makes
I have a 2330 with 1.6 ratio Gold Race Crane Roller Rockers in a stock stroke high compression 340. Old Fairbanks converter Joe Lupo (Joes son Frank Lupo owns Dynamic ) it was rebuilt by Paul Forte @ Turbo Action. Who is a great guy)
Perfect converter for that grind, orginaly sold as Modified Hemi 2800-3000 with 391 gears was great but even better the few tries with 430. Foot braked right at 3000 in my E BODY and A/C blew cold as ice I trust Paul's recommendations.
Sorry for the long and winding story but in my opinion doing like the OP here did is best. Get a cam grinder to make you a proper cam for your needs and a converter too. Can't go wrong buying a package that works together.

That's what happened to Reed Cams in Georgia. They were prolific in dirt track and drag racing all across the southeast for a long time.
I spoke with Ted. F, of Engine Systems in Tucker, a couple years ago about Reed Cams. The patterns and grinder are still in Ga. A small shop has them, but he was not stocking cores. Elliott ran Reed Cams.

That shop HAD a website for several years and still sold Reed Cams. Now, all that information is gone.

Here it is. If you click on the link at the bottom of that small article, it redirects to some kinda Indonesian gaming site. <rolls eyes>

It's been a few years since I spoke with Ted Fisher, of Engine Systems. He was helpful and put me in contact with the owner of the Reed tooling. When we spoke, it seemed like he was struggling to get enough business. Bummer. Reed, was getting it done when Ernie was running their profiles!

Their cams were the cams everybody used who was winning back between the late 70s and the early 90s. They were everywhere.
