ok i am making a couple changes to my engine and i was wondering if my carb will be sufficient for my combo?
360 .30 over 10.2 comp kb 107's
hughes cam .579 intake .587 exhaust lift
intake [email protected], exhaust [email protected] dur.
holley strip dominator single plane
j heads mild clean up
3.91's 26" tire
4 speed

holley 700 cfm double pump mech secondaries

any comments are greatly appriciated, tell me your opinions on my combo!
 
You should be fine with that carb. May need to mess with the jets a little.
 
How hard are you planning on turning this engine? As the rpm's go up the need for more cfm's go's up also. But from what you've posted I would use a 750 minimum or a 850.
 
You will have to play with tuning. A A/F ratio gage is real nice for this.

between 5800 to 6200, it has a thermoquad 825 cfm right now should i dump it and find like an 800 or 850 holley?
 
Is there anything wrong with the carb that you have on the engine now? If not you may want to stay with it or get the same cfm carb in a holley. I personally like the holley's but everyone has there own preference. According to a similar engine that I did it really needed a 850 cfm but we had a 830 so we felt that it should do the job and it did, but I wouldn't go with anything less than this, but this is JMO.
