European A-body owners: where are you?

Then it is a 'Schinznach - Car' - built in the US and shipped without seats to Switzerland and finished there

Hello everyone

I also have a 1962 Valiant built in Schinznach. I was able to take over the car from my godfather a year ago. His father bought it new in 1962. So it's a family member :) .

Welcome!

Very nice Valiant!

A 'real' Schinznach Car, built in 1962 in the Schinznach plant - one of 1149.

Hi I’m in the UK near Bristol, with a 69 Barracuda. Just waiting for the roads to lose the salt then new rims and tyres and out we go. The previous owner made a few modifications that I will put back to original over time.

Okay that is very interesting
I know the Schinznach built cars had the stickers but my Valiant doesnt, but it was "restored" so I assume it got removed. Or maybe it was not attached in the first case because mine got the "defog/defrost rear window option". But what it got is the Schinznach tag in the engine bay.

Your Valiant isn't a Schinznach built car. It has been built in Newark, Delaware and then imported in Switzerland.
Code C4F on the fender tag : 225ci, 1974, Newark plant.

Yes, not built/fully assembled in Schinznach, but finished in Schinznach with special seats and so on...

These cars also got a Schinznach-Tag and this sticker:

Just picked up another 69 Dart. Gonna part it out, to much rust was in an old wet factory for over 20 years, no paperwork, also bought a 66 Fur 4dr from the same owner, but in much better condition. It was really hard to get it out the factory and on my trailer because of the locked brakes.‍ rare color for this car, burgoundy with brown interior, just an awful colorcombo.☺️

It's not a tiny car
Big Volvo SUV.

"Over here" that's a tiny car.

I towed a Ford 9N tractor locally last fall with my '21 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and I didn't like it much.
I usually tow with my '02 Dodge 3/4-Ton 5.9L van or my '90 GMC 3/4-Ton 6.2L diesel pickup (out of service because something gnawed the fuel return lines), or maybe my '06 Dakota 4.7L pickup (which overheats too easily now).

I'd guess that most of us in the US tow "normal-size" cars with 3/4-Ton or 1-Ton pickups.
