Then it is a 'Schinznach - Car' - built in the US and shipped without seats to Switzerland and finished there
Beautiful Valiant! Does it have the 225? Was it restored once or is it a true survivor?Hello everyone
I also have a 1962 Valiant built in Schinznach. I was able to take over the car from my godfather a year ago. His father bought it new in 1962. So it's a family member.

It is not restored and all original. But I plan to replace the carpet and seat covers.Beautiful Valiant! Does it have the 225? Was it restored once or is it a true survivor?
Okay that is very interesting
I know the Schinznach built cars had the stickers but my Valiant doesnt, but it was "restored" so I assume it got removed. Or maybe it was not attached in the first case because mine got the "defog/defrost rear window option". But what it got is the Schinznach tag in the engine bay.

Your Valiant isn't a Schinznach built car. It has been built in Newark, Delaware and then imported in Switzerland.
Code C4F on the fender tag : 225ci, 1974, Newark plant.
Just picked up another 69 Dart.
You towed that car and trailer with that tiny car?
I'm impressed.

It's not a tiny car
Big Volvo SUV.
Yes for you Guys that is a tiny little Car."Over here" that's a tiny car.
I towed a Ford 9N tractor locally last fall with my '21 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and I didn't like it much.
I usually tow with my '02 Dodge 3/4-Ton 5.9L van or my '90 GMC 3/4-Ton 6.2L diesel pickup (out of service because something gnawed the fuel return lines), or maybe my '06 Dakota 4.7L pickup (which overheats too easily now).
I'd guess that most of us in the US tow "normal-size" cars with 3/4-Ton or 1-Ton pickups.
