Liking the 68 Charger with the gas cap 'up high'! 66/67 Satellitte looks good too! I assume they have a similar 'custom' dark green paint? Nice collection of 'Green' Mopars indeed... My 69 Charger is F8 green and my 68 R/T Charger was F8 green too... I have a 71 GTX also green, but a bit brighter... (limelight) Looking into getting an early Barracuda for a daily driver. Must be RHD though as my wife hates sitting 'on the wrong side' lol...
hi mate are you a MMAuk member cars sound cool any pics
Hi Hotrod Guy, I was an MMA member since the 80's and the MMC before that lol. Went to the States for a while to work on Mopars and had big plans for a Mopar shop in Kent. Life and Covid have put paid to that for the 'time being'. A fellow Moparmate in Ottershaw is looking to move over this way and get something 'off the ground'. Due to my finances being 'destroyed' in the current environment I have decided to sell My 69 Charger to pay bills. Hopefully if all things Mopar get back to normal I can get, rolling again lol. Best wishes from John, Isle of Sheppey Kent.
sorry to hear that john nothing worse that selling something you like and would like to keep, done that 3 times the last time i bought it back (the 70 dart). got anysuggestions for an engine builder for the charger as the guy in the states who was building me a 502 if just taking forever regards jon
Hi Jon, many thanx for your kind words. I built a 340 engine and 727 trans for a London friend who had a real nice original green Dart. Just done a 512ci engine for a London friend also for his 66 Polara, you may have seen it around. Doing another 512ci for myself to go in the GTX, its the biggest you can build with a stock pan and pick-up. Most go for the 498ci as it uses stock-size mopar rods, whereas the 512ci uses Chevy rods and 2.200 bearings. I met a guy who has Jensen interceptor also doing a 512ci but made the mistake of buying flat tops! (oops 11.5 to 1) Been there done that and it always ends badly with pump-gas, wrecks the pistons and bearings in a heartbeat... I have a couple of spare 440 blocks here if you want me to do something for you? Best wishes from John Sheepey
Hi from Germany! Just found this Thread now.. My 67 Valiant. Swiss made and perfect condition. Started life as a /6 auto Car, i converted to a BB 383 and A833 tranny and Ford 8.8 rear. Building a new engine for it these days.
Nice Car Wild ONE! Four door cars are back in fashion, especially A-body Mopars! I remember putting a 383ci-727 in my 1969 RHD Barracuda rag-top, was sure a 'wild ride' lol... I have old friends in Duisburg and family in Pocking too. Nice to see German/Swiss Mopars in such great condition. English Mopars are always full of rust and filler lol...
Hi Marvin, This means nothing to me, Oh Vienna... More 'Shagged' with that paint job than Shagga...Stone the Crows We need to know more about these SWISS made Mopars? 72 Demons made in Swissland... I worked at Warwick Wright Chiswick England where the UK Mopars were shipped into, but they never made any Mopars, just sold 'em...
Austin Power's Shaguar:
Here's some information: High quality Swiss made A - Bodies ...and here a lot more detailled information, but in german ( Mopar Forum Germany): https://www.mopar-forum.eu/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=67315&hilit=schinznach
Hello Guys Pics of my new wheels combo : Rallye wheels w/white line tires. I really love these wheels Francois Next step : replacing my aftermarket radiator with an original '71 Chrysler one. I found out an used one, but I want to get it checked by a professional before the installation.
i'm in kent, england and here's my 68 valiant signet. was /6, 904 and 7 1/4 rear, now tunnel rammed 318, a833 4 speed and explorer 8.8 rear (narrowed). slot mags 'cos i like 'em . oh, and black leather seats from a mercedes c class estate. i just got it back on the road a week ago. neil.
Nice one! Also have the Explorer Axle in mine.
they're so cheap compared to an 8 3/4 or even a ford 9" it makes good sense, plus with a second short side shaft i've fitted a 295 tyre under the arches (no minitub or spring relocate either). neil.
