exhaust leak?

When i install my headers on my 78' 360 will there be an exhaust leak where the small holes below the exhaust ports are on my cylinder heads.

Yes they will leak out exhaust. Some headers cover this spot but most don't. It works best to tap these holes and loctite in some recessed bolts. I don't remember what size I tapped mine.

Yes, it's easy to do , you just take some 1/4 in. bolts, cut them 1/4 in. long, hacksaw a slot in 'em, tap your heads, and install flush with the heads. I used green loctite and didn't have any problems. It's easier with the eng. out of the car. I let mine set up overnite before starting up to make sure!

I would have thought buying some set screws would be easier and better looking..just my 2 cents

i just fill the holes with ultra copper rtv. never had a problem

I do have the motor out and i think i will try the bolt trick. Thanks for the info.

SET SCREWS!!! WITH ALLEN KEYS CUT IN THEM... that the only way to fly!
