Hey everyone,
I have what I think is a simple question. Is the exhaust valves on a 360 head with rotators have a different location on the stem for the keepers than nonrotator valves? If they are different I will need to pick up some valves for my heads.
thanks

There are two listed for 360 trucks in the Sealed Power catalog I have. One is 4 groove lock, just like all pass car 360s. The other is two groove and is .010" shorter in overall length. I'm not sure where the groove are placed. But I can tell you my '87 360 in my truck has the two groove keepers and I just repalced the rotators with std retainers and the springs with Comp 901s and there is no problem with them. Truthfully I never measured but I didnt see much of a difference and with a mild cam it's not going to matter.

I found a set of Howards Cams locks, 3/8 stem, 7 degree, single groove, at Summit for $15.95. They are part number HRS-93015, and they have them in stock. They will raise the retainer .050, which isn't much, but it would keep me further away from coil bind. Here is a pic of the issue with my heads.
