External O.D. that won't bankrupt

Is there a external overdrive out there that won't break the bank? I don't want to change transmissions or rear end gears. I like the idea of a "gear vendors" style O.D.
But I don't need one that can handle 2000h.p. and I don't want to spend 2-3k... anybody know of alternatives?

there used to be Hone overdrive, that was external with it's own lever...

Nope. Not that I have seen. If you find one please us know. I thought about doing the OD swap but that isn't worth it for me as little as I drive my A body cars.
