So the F.A.S.T class is heading out to Empire Dragway this weekend. The folks at Empire are always do an incredible job for us and I can’t wait. Friday a handful of cars are going to do some testing during Empires Fridays T-N-T. With Saturday qualifying and Sunday eliminations. Cars are coming from pretty far away, including the Midwest and as far south as Fl. About 25 cars are supposed to attend. With a handful of “probables” in addition. Cars that that have stated they would be there.

Kinda, west of the finger lakes. Leicester NY

Well of the list of things I had planned to get done for this race, one got done. Only have 9 passes on the new motor combo so there still may be a touch more in it as is, and the rear suspension is now in a better place than it was at Cecil last year. I wish someone would have told me having a kid takes every bit of time. Lol

It's near Rochester ny. I've raced there many times. Owner has done a huge amount of improvements and the track always has lots of hook. I'm sure they will be putting down some good runs. Hoping to go Sunday .

If there were only a place where one could go to see what the competitors ran at that event.

Very nice show. Even though I'm partial to mopars, there were some really nice camaro there too. Butter scotch duster ran 10.57 @ 132! Gene was kind enough to show me some of his tricks! Totally stock appearing!

Best was 10.53 @ 128.8. I wish it went 132, lol. To put into perspective, previous best at Empire was 10.91 @ 125. Maybe if I can get all the plans done this summer it will have a chance this fall to break the 130 barrier again..

What kind of track prep is done during these events? is it prepped for a lot of sticky grip? Not sure I ever heard anyone talk about the prep for these events and I am very curious.
one of these days I need to get out and see these cars run. They look so darn good but they are so quick and fast. Much respect to you guys that run in this class.

track prep at empire is excellent. Can't speak for other tracks.

They were at US131 earlier this year. Track prep there is stellar.
Guy in charge of prep( son of the general manager) is sometimes hired to do prep at big events elsewhere. Know he has prepped at Rockingham and Tulsa recently
Sadly, I suspect because of a somewhat dreary forecast, not many FAST cars attended.

With FAST and Factory Stock we had over 20 cars.

I had a very slim chance against this Hemi Road Runner. It is usually MUCH quicker, but it had a temp hemi in it. I cut an .035 and spun at the hit and had to pedal. to his .08? Which was all he had to do to drive out of my life. :)

Squeezed the light a bit hard! Actually did nothing different but last two runs went red. -.053 and -.045. Have to pay attention more.
