And this is why I own guns. You aren't going to shoot someone who stole a cell phone and wants to run away, but the word "stop" means a whole lot more when there is a gun pointed at you.

It's not going to get any better either. The laws aren't strict enough. What happen to "eye for a eye"?

Last week a home invasion happened at 1am in the morning to elderly lady. They kicked in her door, tied her up, stole some items and stole her car. These guys were armed with weapons..... against a little elderly lady??? Check it out:

I don't live in a rough neighborhood but keep my windows locked, doors locked and security system armed at night. Also have a .38 Special with +P hollow points in it on the night stand by the bed. I have a concealed weapons permit but I hope I never have to use it if you know what I mean.

Even in Michigan under the castle doctrine we can stop an intruder with lethal force if necessary, but can also be held civilly liable by the family of the intruder. Seems nuts to me but that's the way it is.

Same here in Oregon. But if some one comes in my house and threatens my family they are getting lead poisoning...

Well atleast they do not look like thieves. Yea right.

I am with you I also have my concealed weapons permit, and keep the house locked with alarm on and gun by the bed.

I hope to never have to use my gun, but it is nice to know that I have the option if needed.

On a different note if you have not purchased the SUPER TUCK holster you should it feels great and you can wear a t-shirt without having the gun show at all.

All they got was a cell phone. No big deal. Just think, if confronted they could have taken someone's life instead.

I have something like an uncle mikes holster and cross draw, with my S&W body guard 380 I can wear anything like board shorts and what not and walk with confidence. My home is my domain and you will receive a lethal does of lead poising if I catch you breaking in or attacking me and mine. I pretty much always have it on me too, it's just become something of a habit to wear.

The gun I have is a Featherweight S/W .38 in which I tote it in my front pocket. To a robber that's where I keep my money clip. lol
