FABO Annual "Get together" ???

Has there ever been talk of this? Maybe it could happen on a regional basis to accommodate staying a little closer to home?

We already have one at Monster Mopar in St. Louis every year now. I think you just need to find all the members in you aread and a sweet event like Monster Mopar Weekend to meet at.
 
Already been discussed as you mentioned and as segura mentioned the Midwest gang does get together at Monster Mopar Weekend in St. Louis. This year we'll have a 20' X 70' space in the swap meet area for everyone to hang out and visit. I usually take the BBQ grill and have something cookin all day everyday....oh yes and there's always something to wet your whistle with...and lets not for get that there WILL be a celebrity there signing autographs up until his hand becomes tired from that activity...that's MeMike of course. All Members present are invited to sign the FABO trailer when they show up at the " G Spot", that's gathering spot. Now, if some of you guys and gals are successful in forming a get together in your area, we will loan out our celebrity for that function but you will have to pay his way out and back and provide meals and lodging during his stay. Dont forget that he's the one with the most post on this site....15000 and counting to be not so exact. You guys and gals are invited to the biggest Midwest gathering of FABO members in the area...besides my "Field of Dreams" I'll just bet MeMike will be adding some pics to explain this gathering very soon. Come by and see us this next weekend and sign the trailer. Should be at least 20 or so of us there.

Since the big powder coating trade show / seminar isn't working out for me again this year, I'd love to go ... but I need a ride!!! If anyone attending will be going through or near northwest Tennessee (Zip Code 38230), please let me know. I can pitch in a few bucks for gas / beer / bribery / etc. I just don't trust taking a 1983 440 truck for a 500 mile trip and would be too embarrassed to show up in an old Chevy Malibu Classic station wagon. LOL

Any takers please PM or call me. I wanna meet you guys!!!!

Man I wish I could have attended! Looks like a great time!
Well, as for that particular event, I struggle to think about driving th old Valiant 16 hours! LOL
However the big event I think that would work over here would probably be the "Chryslers at Carlisle" Event.
I have never been able to make it up there, but Im sure its crazy cool! I know its one of the biggest events over here.
May have to get the ball rolling on that! Id love to meet a bunch of you guys!

LOL! Okay sharp knife Memike ;-), Greenfield isn't really much of a 'town,' it's one of those one-horse pit stops with a single stop light, one gas station, not even one car parts store, no booze (dry county yayyyyyyyyy <eye roll>) ... but we do have a Sonic! Think of somewhere you drive through and "if you blink, you miss it," that's Greenfield. Not overly memorable and never ever exciting. I believe our only claim to fame is it's in the Top 10 of U.S. Speed Traps. The locals get excited when someone paints because they can all rush over to watch it dry.

The closest bigger towns are Jackson (34 miles south) and Union City (30 miles north). There's a map on my website's "Contact Us" page at the bottom if that will help find me out here in the sticks.
 
How about us MA,ME,NH.VT.CT,RI,NY guys getting together Mopar day is Oct.3rd at N.E. dragway always a good time..:-D
 
As far as the south is concerned there is the Southeast Mopar Nationals in Valdosta, GA, thats about a 2.5 hour drive for me.
 
C'mon East coast guys and gals! What do yall say? With the way I function, I have to start planning for next year Carlisle event now! LOL
 
For you guys and gals that have the time and money to get away there are those of us in the gang that will pick you up at Lambert Field and escort you to MMW free of charge. Just let us know when to pick you up and when your flight is arriving. We're here for ya.

What a generous offer Bill!! You're definitely one of the good guys when it comes to putting a memorable event together. Shade, great company, food, imbibements of all sorts, surrounded by Mopars ... and now a ride too?!?!?

I'll have to fuel up the company Lear jet [wink wink] and you can fetch me in the FABO VIP Limo on Friday. Couldn't imagine a more fun escort!

Well since I'm dreamin' about actually getting out of town and attending one of these huge shows, I'm gonna dream B I G. :-D
 
Once you go Leanna you will be strongly wondering why you don't have a booth there and becoming a permanent member of the MMW clan!
 
Leanna, Bring your banner and some cards and maybe a couple of small items so you can show off your work and we can put it up in my space. Plenty of room. I'll even provide you a table. Tryin to help. Gotta be someone coming from your direction.

The Long Island/N.Y. Ct. Ri. Mass. crew got together for a bit over at Marcus Dairy in Ct. We had a good turn out for a laggging commitment to the matter. Once the date was set, we showed.

It was a good spot for us Island guys to get to since getting off this sand bar can be a nightmare at best at times.

Today, I was hanging with George and we were covering this very topic just as he was getting ready to go. The Marcus Dairy day was very good for all and we all want to do it again.

So IF the North East guys have any dates in mind for another meet, spit'em out and start the ball rolling with ideas.
