Factory AC Dash Removal

-
There are 2 big body plugs with drains on the sheet metal that forms the "inside" of that crevice (side toward the frame
I have not spent much time under the car yet. But thanks for the reminder

The pass side is already open to the outside

The concrete floor is a wee bit cold.

If I ever build a garage I'm adding radiant heating to the floor.

Wanted to thank all the great advice on removal of the dash.

I was surprised how light it was.

I used 2 bungee cords to support the dash to the top of the windshield frame as I rotated it.

Worked great, allowed for additional rotation as needed.

I disconnected the electrical connectors as needed, cut the vacuum switch hoses and disconnected the defrost cable from the AC box

Being a convert I was able to stand up and support the dash on my knees while releasing the bungee cords

Grabbed the back side of the dash and lifted it out of the car.
