Factory Evaporator Drain Hole- just curious

My Dart came with an aftermarket AC that was installed by the dealer. They punched a hole for the drain tubes on both sides of the hump under the underdash unit containing the evaporator.

I've got the carpet up to deal with the holes and I was just kind of wondering- where is the drain hole for factory units? Did it run through the firewall like on B-bodies?

In my 69 Dart, there was a pan under the evaporator, with a copper drain tube thru the firewall, maybe 6" below the upper firewall lip. I accidentally bent that tube up when replacing the engine, so condensate backed up and dripped on the carpet, which I only discovered after pulling out the whole air box.
