I was wondering if anybody new the type of material the factory put on our inner quarter panels in the trunk compartment. What's on the market so I can duplicate this.
Thanks, Larry
Thanks, Larry
That looks really nice.
I did a few truck beds with it and seems to hold up good. Iv'e tried different bed liners and replaced many truck box sides and floors and had to take off the old bed liner and redo it. Not that I know anything about it but if I can keep my car from rotting away I'll do what I can.Looks good Fred. I have three more cars to restore. Im doing the bottom of them in raptor next time.
I would like to do an experiment to see how hard it is to remove after its cured. I bet a heat gun and a scraper would take it off easy. Im just thinking about the next guy who restores it after im long gone
Definitely looks good Fred. Thinking I might do mine that way. Just do it body color.View attachment 1715409332 View attachment 1715409334 Did the whole underside the same.View attachment 1715409336

Not yet still in the garage and snow on the ground. Lots of work left to do but should be done by late summer. Painting my sons air plane in my garage now so my car is on the back burner for sometime.Hey Fred have you had the car out and about yet? Hows the raptor liner holding up? Difficult to clean? Just trying to figure out which way I should go when I get to my crossroads on the trunk here soon.

The bed liner is I hope protecting it from mother nature when I get it on the road seems clean up on what I've seen so far is is not real bad compared to trying to clean up paint that has been chipped up or under coating that is softer and harder to clean. Just my 2 cents.
I here ya was a real job and made a mess out of my garage. Thanks man I'm guessing if it got real dirty, spraying it with some all purpose cleaner followed by a nylon brush and a vacuum would make quick work of it but I've read different accounts online. Sounds like you can also spray it with lighter texture which would help with that. All I know is I'm in the process of scraping off the factory quarter panel trunk texture right now and this is definitely a job I only want to do once in my lifetime
I just used fatmat rattletrap *** for the whole car, lines the trunk and the deck lid with it. Then out a factory repop trunk mat down. Here are pictures of the main area but its the same insulation.
