fan clutch

I have replaced my water pump and decided to put a new fan clutch on the engine but cannot seem to find one that is the same depth as the old one. I have gone to Auto Zone , Advance auto ,O'reileiys and NAPA. The original part I have is a factory 340 part but no one seems to have a replacement with the same depth from water pump flange to front of clutch. Does anyone know where to get the proper replacement?

Have you tried www.rockauto.com They have some stuff for our older cars and their downright cheap too. I've ordered from them a few times and always got good parts and service. Good luck.

BTW: how far off are the ones you found at the local auto parts stores? Are you sure it's original?

I put in a Hayden non thermal fan clutch 1705 and has worked perfectly.
