fan rotation

I've got a 72 dart with the magnum engine. want to use the mag. fan set up but the fan is to big for the shroud. the 72 fan will fit the mag. clutch, but doesn't have the reverse rotation. anybody here know if you can install the old fan backwards for the correct rotation? I know I can use a electric fan, and I will if it comes to it, but I would rather use a stock set up if I can. thanks, dave.

Backwards.........if you mean flipping it around front to back, no. That does not change airflow direction, it just makes it way less efficient

ya, I got to thinking about it after I typed, and your right, it wont work. I think i'll check the wrecking yards. maybe the Dakotas or durangos have a smaller fan. dave.
