Fat Motor Progress...

Hey Rusty what you paint intake and valve covers with? Curious since I plan to paint my intake to avoid stains.

VHT Flame Proof aluminum covered with VHT Flame Proof clear. When you clear on top of the aluminum, it gives it a kinda grey cast, but That's fine with me. I wouldda sent it all to Leanna, but I am on the strictest of budgets........as usual.

2.06 /1.72 ,or 2.19/ 1.88 valve sizing ?
Just curious...:)

2.06/1.72. Stock, unported castings. I don't expect to see 6K, probably never race it and there's that damned budget thing again. lol I also went budget on the springs. At only .522 lift, they wanted 924-16 dual springs. I did some research and found the big Chrysler/Chevy springs 911-16 were a good match. They are set up all around 1.925". That's about 122 LBS on the seat. Should be just right.

The intake reminds me of the strip dominator for mopar smallblock. Is it comparable performance wise?

Makes me wanna use the toilet. lol

I used to have a 61 Impala that I sold about 13 years ago. One point it was a 4sp, dual quad 409. Changed it to auto, single 4 before I sold it.
Still miss that car...
