06 on the fender tag means that it belongs to me.
My first love was a 1964 Polara 500. It was red with black interior, 4 speed, with a 361 cid engine. I found a 426 Max Wedge to put into it along with a set of factory Ram Charger exhaust from the manifolds, the cutouts, and the tips.
I gave it up when the first child came along. I have been looking for it ever since. I’m glad you found it.

From what I remember, the Max Wedge engine was not an option on the Polara 500 model. I think a 426 Street Wedge with a single 4 barrel carb was the largest that you could get but I don’t know what the number on the fender tag would be.

On second thought, a buddy of mine has an original 1964 Max Wedge Plymouth Sport Fury. So anything is possible.
Acclrding to my FCA production code book 06 for the AB engine code on the fender tag for 64 translates to 383 4barrel 360 HP HP 8cylinder 10.0:1 compression ratio engine family RB.

Thanks for the info the closest I have come for the 06 is 383 2 x 4 barrel (1967) could not find anything for 1964 vin shows car as V8 4 speed Thanks again
