Ferrari 612 Scaglietti Disintegrates on Impact

What you're looking at is what's left of a Ferrari 612 Scaglietti that was split in two by an collision with a metal utility pole in Russia last weekend. An impact with a narrow object like a pole is generally never pretty, and in this case it separated the car's entire front clip from the body. But miraculously, of the 612's four occupants, only the driver had to be treated for minor injuries. As in motorsports, where the worst-looking wrecks are often the most survivable because of the way the crash energy is disipated through twisted metal and flying car parts, this completely demolished Ferrari definitely did its job in keeping its passengers safe.

So....the vehicle withstood an impact against a stationary object with enough force to rip away structural, drivetrain, and suspension components, then come to rest at least 20 yards from said impact point and only one of four occupants require medical treatment...not sure if I follow where that is worthy of the title "garbage."

Yeah, what you said. Try the same impact in an A-body and you'll spread (human) body parts all over the road.
