Fiberglass Hood

-
Although I haven't personally used their stuff, I haven't heard particularly flattering things about the quality of their 'glass.

It looks like the USBODY hoods come with the bottom of the scoop already open. The extra "plate" they sell has a 16" hole and simply closes in around a 14" air cleaner forcing more air in to the motor (instead of just blowing down on top of it)

It also says they don't sell that plate separate. It can ONLY be bought with the hood

I have a us body source deck lid and it is ok, It would have been nice if they had specified that it is a pin on only part, when I talked to him on the phone he asked if I want race weight or street weight, I told him street and was kinda expecting something that bolts on. I now have to modify it to work in a bolt on configuration. As for quality I would say it's not to bad but it doesn't seam as good as what I have heard about the aar stuff.

Thanks for the responses. I was mainly interested in the US hood for the reason 68 Sedan was talking about the isolator plate. I may call AAR and see if that offer a similar solution. I just don't want to go back to running the hood open to the whole engine compartment and I want it to look like whatever is used to make it functional could have came that way from the factory.

I have a usbody lift off six pack hood. I like it. ITs light enough to were I can carry it myself. Just Looks like it needs a little more support underneath that I will be adding later, but I like it
