Hi Folks

After 7 years working on my project '71 Demon, I attended my first cruise night.......

Not many Mopars......LOL, what I did notice was, that most folks had a trunk load of cleaning products. I, on the other hand, had a trunk load of parts and tools....What gives? :)

Great to learn that you have finally made the "maiden voyage" to a cruise night Troy!
Never a bad idea to have a few spare parts and tools along with you until you gain some trust in the reliability of your ride. Post some pictures of it when you have time, we'd all love to see the finished product.

A lot of guys just bought their cars and don't know what makes them tick anyways. If there's an issue, call the flatbed.
The rest of us built them from the ground up and if there's a problem, we roll up our sleeves- and with any luck get it running and drive home.
Buffers vs gearheads.
Don't get me wrong, both have their place. A cool car is a cool car, and they're being kept on the road- that's what matters most!

Amen!

A few years ago I ran into a mutual acquaintance of some old friends of mine (let's call 'em Dan and Brad), and he started talking about what great "car guys" Dan and Brad are. I had to bite my tongue, because in the back of my mind I couldn't help but think to myself, "Car guys"? Those guys were never "car guys" when I knew 'em in High School! They're just silver spoon "checkbooks"....

"Waxers" and "buffers"! Love it!

Yup, hard to get used to people yelling at me from the sidewalk, thumbs up at intersections, and conversations at a red light. LOL, I even overheard a guy talking about "all the chicks" he could pick up with the car

Kudos on a beautiful build!
You're much more disciplined than I am- I always work on the car, and after I get some part of it done I think "Geez, I should have taken some pictures of how that went together"... :BangHead:

I'm more drawn to the cars that are a little rougher around the edges than the high dollar, mega-built cars I never could afford or reallly want.
Nice to look at the over restored high dollar cars, but I have to agree with you, I much prefer the ones that have been rode hard and put away wet a few times.

I couldn't agree with you more. That's why I built this project to be a driver......5 km of gravel to get to the highway. Just waiting for my wife to drop a milkshake on the seat
