are the flex plates different from a 904 to 727 small block

I know that after-market flex plates (round) usually have holes for both 904 and 727, but I dont' know if it is just 727 BB that is different.

Bolt hole spacing on the regular flex plate is the difference. There are some special flex plates used for counter balancing on the 360s. As to specific applications someone else will have to fill in there.

The 904 fles plate has a 10 inch bolt circle and the 727 has a 11 1/8 inch bolt circle. This is the regular fle plate shape but is designed for both transmissions.
