Floor mount 4 speed vrs consul 4 speed

I'm sure it's been discussed on here dozens of times but I'm new to the page and have a question about my 68 Dodge dart gts console 4 speed. I just noticed I have two separate rubber shifter boots. One as you can see in the picture is on the console and if I look underneath my carpet, there is another one where it would normally be for a floor mount shifter. Normal for a consule shifter or not?..

Normal.... The lower one keeps the outside out.. Fumes/heat/noise.... The upper one keeps stuff from falling into the dead zone below the console...

Yep as said above, that's the way it should be.

Yep, normal and looks nice! If you think that's odd, wait until you pull that shifter handle out someday....lol.
