Floor shifter

Has any one converted a column shift automatic to a floor shifter, in a 66 valiant, I want to make changes to the floor if needed wile installing my floor pans

I guess nobody has put a floor shifter in a early A

I have a 66 barracuda that has a floor shift in it.it is a parts car but I have never switched one out

To convert a 66 you will need the shifter with all the brackets including the ones welded to the floor and bolt to the trans. tailshaft. You will need the console also. It would be cheaper to just go with an aftermarket floor shifter like a B&M

That's what I was thinking cable shift, cause I believe I will have problems with exhaust because of the linkages in the column shift,
