Caught this lil guy at a spot far from civilization in the desert out here in Arizona. This picture is deceptive but look at how I'm holding it too,my arm is 14" fist to elbow, not as small as it looks. Me and my buddy guessed 5+, a personal best for me, been stuck on 3's for a while. Caught Sunday on a popper, gotta love the topwater action...

We always throw em at this spot so we can return to catch em again. It's in a very hard place to get to, it's my buddy and mine lil gem in the desert. I've seen him catch much bigger out of here too like 8+ and I'm iching to land one.

Reminds me of a story. This guy I used to work with had a 5 year old who he dropped off to go fishing one day. He returned to pick up his son at dinnertime and the boy was so excited, running up to him saying, "Daddy, I cought a fish!"

"What kind did you catch?" he asked his son.

"I caught a big-mouth-bastard!", his son said excitedly.

Turned out to be a Large Mouth Bass.... The boy was a little confused on the name...
