I think that's what heaven is going too look like ....where all the cars have HEMIs and there is no need to worry about pollution or things getting old and decaying.......an eternity of all things cool.....and hanging out with Ronnie Sox. :prayer::prayer::prayer:

i have never liked 72 dusters so much as now ....i had one before and i changed the tail lights bcoz i didn't like the 72 duster tail lights but after seeing that pic ......i love 72 dusters now :prayer::prayer:

The Barracuda/Challenger, I don't recognize the paint job. Anyway that is the Cable Car? Can you remember back that far?
 
The cable car was Don Carlton's car!! And for Tony, the cable car was an attempt by the Mopar racers of the day to strip weight and run with the limiting factoring rules that were aimed at putting the Hemi out of racing competition.nthey had some kind of cable system in them as a tensioning device to allow them to eliminate heavier metal structuring and save weight!! I believe Don Carlton died in a tire testing accident using one of the cable cars!!

Read up on it, it's very interesting!! I think the cars were 73-4 Dusters!! Geof

Here is an article about the "Wire Car". Unfortunately, it was never raced in competition because Chrysler got out of Pro Stock and Don Carlton was killed in a testing accident a couple of years later. Lots of other cool links at the end of the article as well.

The car Carlton was driving when he died was a stretched Colt that was run in B/Altered. There was only this one "Wire Car".

Since you like original photos, here's some I took back in
1969 at Indianapolis Raceway Park (Now Lucas Oil Raceway)

The first pic is my 1964 VW with a 454 rat motor at Harrison
County Drag Strip.

There was also a match race with Hemi Under Glass and LADart
packing the wheels for the full quarter.

Naa that's not what I mean. I have not seen a Sox 70-71 Cuda with Blue on the fender tops. Don Grother ran a Barracuda that might have been blue on the fender tops.

And on the old pictures, anyone else spy the Valiant Sedan Delivery? RARE!
