Forged pistons w/ moly rings in a 340. Stock specs or a little tighter? Was told to go tighter w/ forged pistons. Is this true? Thanks for any input. TRW forged pistons, w speed pro plasma moly coated rings. Car is a street car that may see the strip once or twice a year just playing.

No... Whose pistons are they? Whose rings? What is this engine going to be doing?

I'd use the ".004 per inch of bore" deal on the top gap, and add 20% to that for the 2nd ring gap on those beasties.

In real numbers, that would be .017" for the top, .020 on the 2nd.

Call Marco at United Engine to be sure.

Close enough!
