Ok... so theres a guy local that has amassed 1000's of cars on his property since the 70's... and nobody except a few people know they're back there....

largely they are junk.. he has stacked them over the years and pushed them around with the loader, etc... However there are quite a few mopars back there, but I've only seen about 1/4 of the place since its 25 acres of woods with cars from one end to the other..

My question is.. IF I can get this guy to let me look around and IF he decides he will sell me something, what are my best chances for finding a 3.55+ sure grip center section??

Forget about anything good.... chargers, RR's, etc they arent there, no hemi cars or anything like that...but he does have alot of C-bodies, some 4dr b bodies, some a-bodies like /6 dusters and stuff...

Is there any general recommendation as to what came in the c-bodies? Did the big block luxury cars have sure grips?

This is all speculation but I want to at least go investigate if he will let me since he is a good friend of my business partner. Hopefully he will let me look around since he pretty much does not and will not sell parts or cars....

The only way to know is to look at the chunks and hope they have a gear tag on one of the bolts.

Best luck looking the B body high performance models but good luck finding a 3.55.

Yes, lots of the big cars have suregrips but they usually also only have 3:23's at best. They normally have 2:94s or 2:76s.

The best place to find tall gears and suregrips is pickups. Found lots of 3:91s that way and just took a 3:55 out of a '70 pickup two weekends ago.

Great ideas guys... I will keep my eyes peeled for older trucks and vans! Thanks
