That is pretty sweet.
I just knew I would be taking it back because it was not bright. Just like the warning on the box. You do NOT want to look into it. It is a massive amount of light for its size. The clamp also locks in the open position and the light will stand up on its own.
"Back when" I was in HVAC, and later, doing radio site / dispatch center equipment, I had a simple little strap you could buy. I always carried a AA Mini Maglite back then. This was a very simple elastic strap you put around your head like a sweat band. It had a small loop through which you stuck the maglite. "Instant" "headlamp"!!!
That's very cool.....I like it :thumrigh:
That is great. I could stop holding the small flashlight with my teeth all the time.
I could get one of those but then my 4 year old daughter would be out of a job but she could always do an oil change I guess:glasses7:
Neat, but I would put it some place & forget where it was.
Pretty neat, indeed! I went to their website and looked for quite a while. A serious flashlight with a serious clamp is a combo I've wanted for a long while. Then again, there are times when you (or at least I) want general lighting of the area I'm working in, not just a spot. I like the lantern for that reason. So, I made my product decision but hit a snag at checkout. Saturday evening of the last weekend before Christmas and no idea if there will be a live person to straighten out this little (I hope) snag until 2014! I need a patience transplant.... P.S. Thanks for the lead, Rob! BC
Years back I purchased a cordless droplight with a magnetic back, works awesome until it gets the inevitable bump and then comes down on your face, always just your face... nothing else, I have seen it fall up and go from the ground to 6 feet straight up going for my face lol, seriously though, that looks pretty good.
either that, or you leave it stuck under the vehicle you're working on when you take it for a test drive, and the light is gone when you get back ops:
i hear ya ,,,,lol nice product,, may have to get one,,
Well I didn't want to admit to that but since were being open....
This light would still be there when you get back. The feet to the clamps are rubber and the spring in the clamp is very strong. If it falls off, you can chalk it up to your own stupidity. (I've done it with other lights myself) Wal Mart has them. Go find one on the shelf and check it out. You'll see.
Thanks for the tip about Wal-Mart having them. Yesterday I was wishing I was smart enough to have ordered one of these for my father-in-law when I first saw this thread, but our Christmas isn't until the 27th, so I have time to run to Wal-Mart!
I seen them at Home Depot also.
My only complaint. Why AAA batteries? Im a fan of AA.
They make a smaller one. I imagine all it has room for are triple As. Pretty sure they weren't interested in anybody's battery fan page when they designed them. lol
