The old '67 Dart I picked up was missing the ignition switch and key. I checked online and some local junkyards for a replacement. Found some switches in the junkyard but the cheapest price I got from a locksmith was $80.00 to cut a new key for it.
I called an old auto parts place here in town and asked him if he knew where I could find one. He checked and had one left, $40.00. He said that he might have some more in his warehouse, so if you need one give him a call. 865-922-2171.

Did you actually check with any parts stores? It's an easily available part. You say "ignition switch", but you talk about going to a locksmith. Are you actually after the lock cylinder, the actual ignition switch, or both units together? They are separate parts.

Anyway, I went onto Schucks website, and they have both available in several brands. The actual switch from $14.99 to $33.99, and the lock cylinder from $10.99 to $25.99.

I think there is something weird about the actual switch in 69 cars being different and unavailable, but a 67 is no problem.

You're right damnimcooltom, the '69 is a one-year only.

When I bought the entire manual steering set up for my 70,I made sure that they didn't bust the ign lock. And also got the key!
