Wasn't sure where to post this but after finding these videos, I was so stoked, I wanted to share my find with some fellow Mopar guys/gals. Was helping my dad clean up his attic today. We found a box full of old home movies and the projector. Mostly old videos of family gatherings,etc. But wait, what's this??? An old video of my dad in his day old 69 Swinger! It was an auto cross race sponsored by the local corvette and camaro club. Lots of Z-28s and corvettes taking the corners nice and easy and waving to their friends as they went by. Then comes this lowly Dart taking every corner on the ragged edge. Smoking tires and going sideways exiting the turns. He drove the car to that race,130 miles away, beat every car on the property, and had only owned the car for 24 hours. When they gave him the trophy and his winnings, they also told him not to come back. Imagine that! Haven't seen these since I was a little kid. I'm pretty proud to be the only other owner that car has known. Still pretty much original except for the 4.88 gear, and the 35yo solid lifter 340. Il try to put some footage on here when I figure out how

Thanks! Would love for fellow Mopar fans to see actual footage of a low buck Dart putting a beat down on the hi dollar vettes back when they were brand new. I remember watching these videos over and over every day after school, then going out in the garage and working on cars with Dad. Can't even begin to explain how great it felt to find these movies that have been sitting upstairs for so long, and can't wait to sit down and play them for my kids.

What format are the videos in/on now?
They need to be put in a digital format first then they can go on to Youboob.

They're on ancient film right now. 8mm? There's a video store in town I called, they said they can put all those movies on 1 dvd. Didn't even ask how much because it's one of those things you don't even care about, it just HAS to be done

X2!! Dad's had their wedding film put on DVD and the quality didn't turn out good and they ruined the 8mm

The film will need to be transferred to a digital format before you can share it on line. You should do that anyway since the film can get brittle with age if not stored properly.
You might find a local vendor for this or just search ebay for a service vendor you can ship the reels to.
I did that once several years ago. Vendor was Precious Memories or something like that. Arizona maybe, I forget. They did a good job with the few reels of 8mm home movies that would go through the machine without flying into little pieces.
If the film will survive a playback in the home projector, it will survive their telescene.

The store I called yesterday,and I'm taking the film's to today, said the same thing. If we watched them several times on this ancient projector without any problems, they are still in good enough condition that they wouldn't have any problems with them. They told me of the risks with old films, but they're pretty confident there won't be any issues since we were able to play them several times. Dropping them off as soon as I leave work!
