Ok, so this is last minute but he will be going to a pound if we can't find a home...

The story: A coworker got a dog a few months ago and he just bought a house last week. Well, the dog is a bit of a digger and he has no patience for training him otherwise. This is a very fixable flaw... I think his willingness to give up a dog over his new grass is extremely wrong and he should be shot. BUt that is another story all together.

My limited help: I was going to take him to save him from the pound. But we already have a dog, Cooper who rocks. And just two weeks ago we adopted a very skiddish and scared Chihuahua/Shelty mix. Cute as button (looks like a little fox) but he is afraid of his own farts. So a third dog is too much for the little guy and he may not fair well with the added stress.

The Dog:
8 months old Lab/Chow mix
house broke
very freindly
All shots are current
crate trained
Cute.

I may have a temporary or even a permanant home for hime tonight, but won't know until later...

anyway need a dog that digs? His only known flaw at this point.

I also added pics of my buddies for fun. Sadly the little guy won the toy over the big dog...

Wish I was closer too. Don't give up trying to find him a good home prematurely and send him off to the gas chamber.

Me too. I already have four dogs. 1 rat terrier, 1 herding dog, (stray) 1 Jack Terrier (stray) and 1 mutt I got at the pound. Good Luck. Just a thought post him on aldeer.com or better yet try alducks.com always some one wanting a lab.

Sorry, IMO it´s for the best that he don´t have a dog if he´d just give it up for that it´s digging.
Can´t understand some people. Hope you´ll find a good lovening home for it.

Tell the lazy *** that if he wasn't a dumbass he would know that if you take a shovel and spread out little of the dog's droppings in the holes/digging areas he WILL not dig there anymore. Also I bet he will grow out of the digging stage. Most older dogs dig because they need cool down by getting to some wet dirt on there undersides.

We may have found him a new home! He may be moving up to Denver to be someones second dog.

I agree it would be easy to break the dog. And after meeting him. i got to see just how good he was. He is so calm and well behaved. My border collie looked like a rebel compared to him.

And having him over did wonders for our little dog. It is so tempting to keep him but 3 dogs is just a bit too much for my smaller house.

My house is too small for two dogs right now, at least until I get settled in. Sounds like you got him a home though. Is it anyone from here (A-bodies only)?

No, the person that is intersted is my girlfriends cousin. I am hoping to hear something today if she is interested.
