I would say you're good. Was it a new engine or a used engine that you are just getting installed. I partnered on a 2010 Challenger that had the oil pan knocked off it in a accident. It had sat for about a year and we put on a new pan and pick-up, filled it with new oil and pulled the fuel pump fuse. We cranked it over for 15-20 seconds., installed the fuse and lit it. The rockers ticked a little bit for 10 or so seconds and quieted right down. You could pull the valve covers and lube everything on top with a oil can. The crank, rods and lifters are the first to get oil as soon as the engine fires. tmm
